Paula is a past pupil of St. Louis Grammar School and graduated with an LLB Honours Degree in Law with Economics from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. She was also awarded a Diploma in Area Studies having secured a scholarship from the Business Education Initiative programme (now Study USA) and studying for a year at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE, USA.

Following this, Paula completed her professional studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University, Belfast, while serving her apprenticeship in Patrick Diamond & Company in Randalstown. She was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies with Distinction in 2013 and has worked in private practice in the Mid Ulster area since that time.

Paula joined our firm as a Senior Associate in February 2022. She has a wide range of experience, particularly in Residential/Commercial Conveyancing, Liquor Licensing, Wills and Estate Planning and Litigation. Paula is a former Treasurer of the South Derry Solicitors Association. She stood down from this position in 2024 having recently served two separate terms with distinction.

Outside of the legal world Paula has a keen interest in Gaelic Games and Traditional Irish Music. She is involved in her adopted club, St. Malachy’s, Castledawson, but still retains close links with her home club of St. Mary’s GA & CC, Ahoghill. Paula currently sits on the Transfers, Hearings & Disciplinary Committee for Ulster Camogie.
