Paul is a founding partner of Rafferty & Boyle Solicitors who operated with great success in Coleraine for 40 years until our firm acquired the practice on 1st April 2021. You can read a history of Rafferty & Boyle Solicitors here.

Paul was educated in St MacNissi’s College, GarronTower, then graduating in law from Trinity College, Dublin in 1979. He completed his apprenticeship with Daniel A McKenna & Co in Coleraine and soon thereafter set up on his own with Terence Rafferty, forming Rafferty & Boyle Solicitors in 1983. Paul’s wife, Fionnuala and long term partner, in Rafferty & Boyle Solicitors joined in 1985 growing a well-respected matrimonial and family law practice until her retirement in 2021.

Paul is continuing with the firm in a consultant Solicitor’s role and his vast wealth of experience is providing extremely valuable for the firm.

Outside of the office Paul is a keen cyclist and general sports enthusiast, “especially anything involving a ball”. His grandchildren now occupy a lot of his time “but in a good way”.
