Jane was educated at Saint Patrick’s College, Maghera, and graduated with her law degree from Queens University, Belfast.

Following this, Jane then went on to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law in Chester, England.

Jane undertook her training contract in Yorkshire, and upon qualification accepted a position with a Family Law Practice, a Legal 500 Firm, in the City of Leeds.

Jane sat on the Young Resolution Committee which is an organisation of lawyers committed to promoting a constructive approach to family issues, promoting alternative dispute resolution - such as mediation, arbitration and the collaborative practice. Jane also represents her clients at court, and enjoys the diversity of court work in her role as a Solicitor.

Having successfully transferred over to this jurisdiction, in 2020, her next step is to train to become a member of the Dispute Resolution Service.

Outside of the law, Jane enjoys spending time with family. Having retired from Camogie earlier than she would have liked, to pursue a career in law, she had played for her Club Robert Emmets Slaughtneil, and Derry. Now she enjoys being a spectator of all Gaelic games on the other side of the fence. She also enjoys running, painting, and cooking.
