Emma McCystal LL.B LL.M

ASSOCIATE

Emma is a past pupil of St Patrick’s College Maghera and studied Law at Queen’s University Belfast, where she obtained a First Class LLB honours Degree in Law. During her studies Emma was awarded the Queen’s Foundation Scholarship Award for Top Performance in first- and second-year academic modules.

Upon completion of her undergraduate degree Emma returned to study and obtained a Master of Laws Degree in Human Rights and Criminal Justice with Distinction.

Emma joined our firm in 2018 as a Legal Executive and commenced her training as an apprentice Solicitor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University Belfast in 2020.

During the course of her studies Emma was awarded the Tughans Prize in Conveyancing, awarded to the Solicitor Trainee who attains the highest standard in the Property Law and Practice course. Emma was also awarded the Belfast Solicitors Association Prize, 2nd Prize, awarded to the three Solicitor Trainees who attain the highest marks in the Diploma in Professional Legal Studies.

Following completion of her apprenticeship Emma was formally admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in September 2021 and holds the position of Associate Solicitor within the Firm.

Outside of the office Emma has a strong passion for music and is a music and piano teacher.
